ASHTONES au Km0, Tortona, Italie.
Feb. 24 Next step will drive the pack to Tortona, Italy. We'll cross Swizerland discovering their excessive love for tunnels (you don't have to think at what could happen if you're locked in one of those long,long one). Four days and our bellies are suffering from the junk-food we had to ate to survive. In the van there's a contest of stinky farts. We don't know who won because the winner didn't came to get his price but one of us quite poisoned us for sure. In old line-up, Francis was the leader for stinky farts and I thought that his spirit visited somebody's ass, crossing wonderfull, immaculate landscape of Swizerland. We enter in Italy under snow and I remind me telling my mates "go to Italy,it's allways hotter than north of France". I could feel vindicative glances behind sunglasses,ha ha ha. KM 0 is a small club in a small town. Luckily we're not late because it's uneasy to find the venue, but Yannick would save us, stumbling in the street from door to door. Sunday!! end of month!! the audience is very tiny but Alberto, my friend from Nicotine Records. Alberto saw different line-up in Italy, three time I guess..but everytime he came and see us we did the worst gig of the tour: unlucky Alberto (or a witch put a spell on Ashtones & Alberto meeting together: fuck the witch, it's only rock'n roll and human being. Nevertheless we're glad to meet again once more in his hometown). The gig was the worst because the sound was awfull. Imagine playing rock'n roll at full speed in a cube of concrete, without doing a soundcheck. First time that Ripper lends his snare and first gig with a broken snare (any drummer forgets to learn how to bang on a snare). Giorgio,the guy from the club is a nice guy (we discover some common illness!!) but Tortona wouldn't leave us the best remembering. We're fed of snow.
