ASHTONES au Sternhagel, Köln, Allemange.
Feb. 22,way to Köln. It's very close from Düsseldorff and we get time to buy second hand cds for the trip. We get Pantera, Queen, Thin Lizzy, Guns & Roses, Tom Petty. Then time to go to a sex-shop and buy spectacles with a dick nose. It's really cold, the coldest day of the tour and now we are two to be sick (I got a cold last night added to withdrawal symptoms). Sternhagel where we have the show is located in the same area than Underground and Sonic Ballroom (where I already played fifth or sixth). Accomodations are planned at Sonic Ballroom where we could obviously play for free. Sternhagel stops shows at ten because of neighbourhood. Alex & Fab know people in Köln and we shall choose to sleep at their flat (I had a bad reminding about S.B. staying locked in the club till 2 pm and we have a long road on upcoming day). Bernie and his girlfriend will be kind to us providing hot meal and a neverending drinking trail. Anyway,the PA's are a bit too light, sound is not the best ever but we'll do a solid rock'n roll show in front of a tiny audience but an audience of chosen few..I mean friends playing in famous german punk bands like Berndt from Gee Strings and Nik from Molotow Soda. After the show,we quickly join the friends flat because we're going now to Swizerland,hoping to leave cold and snow behind us..
