ASHTONES à The Tube, Dusseldorf, Allemagne.
Feb. 21 Under a bad sign A bad karma is over us. Everything seems goin' wrong. We have to do a last minute change of the battery of the van. Then drummer, the Ripper, keeps locked at home because of a dysfunctional electronic door (who could imagine it could happen?). Way to Düsseldorff: we're clever enough to avoid the crossing of Antwerpen. Nevertheless,on the way to Brussels, two car-crashes and their holy traffic jams are waiting for us..Ring,ring,our booker Sandra's calling: "guys, you're late, the bartender is stressed, you have to phone him". Who's stressed? wasting two hours on Belgium highways. To add a bit of holiness,Alex got a cold two days before start. But here we are: The Tube in Düsseldorff (Ak 47 was the only place where I already played). It's a nice small club where our californian mates Prima Donna played. No time to do a soundcheck. The german support band will do a never ending gig (more than 1 hour & an half) before we hit the stage for a good first show. We'll play two encore. I don't know why Sandra asked us about meat & vegan because our only meal will be bread with tiny half slices of ham and pocket slices of cheese. Alex and me go to hôtel just after the show and fourr of us follow one of the barmaid to disco (they will be fired because Ripper is accused of smoking weed and as a holy good bye,Yannick, driver and photograph, will put a few chairs and tables down. Goodnight Düsseldorff. Between Fab & Fel,the barmaid fell into Feliciano's arms when he pulled out his fatal weapon (not his schlung!!) "just one kiss,baby"... a rock'n roll sex symbol is born (to be continued in Köln)
